VCCD Volunteer Benefits
The Vermilion County Conservation District greatly appreciates the faithful volunteers who dedicate so much time, energy, and talent. The parks would not function without the assistance of all the volunteers.
To show appreciation, our volunteers receive many benefits (with required minimum number of hours) including:
Invitation to Summer Cookout
Invitation to Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
Discounts on park buildings and shelters
Free camping
Personal benefits you will enjoy while volunteering:
Life-long friendships with other volunteers
Great memories made while spending time in the great outdoors at your county parks
Getting to know your community neighbors
Personal satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to the success of the VCCD
Some volunteers donate over 100 hours a year, some only donate 10; the choice is yours! Information and training are provided for all volunteer positions. Volunteering is also a great resume builder!
